Želnava is a picturesque South Bohemian village in the Prachatice district, surrounded by the nature of the Šumava National Park. First mentioned in 1360, the village’s history is connected to the monastery in Zlatá Koruna and the Eggenberg family. The Baroque parish church of St. James the Elder dominates the landscape. The natural monument Vltavský luh is located near the village, and a flax factory operated here in the 19th century.
